Research:
I am currently a PhD student (Archaeology and Post-Classical Antiquities, 40th cycle) at Sapienza University of Rome, with a research project entitled "Dal manufatto lapideo alla ricostruzione architettonica del complesso del Santo Sepolcro: analisi, riflessioni e proposte interpretative alla luce del dato archeologico" (‘From stone artefacts to the architectural reconstruction of the Holy Sepulchre complex: analysis, reflections and interpretative proposals based on the archaeological data’). The research, born from the participation in the Agia Polis project at the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, intends to study the set of stone artefacts found during the excavation of the Basilica, in order to outline interpretative and reconstructive hypotheses, based both on the analysis of the archaeological artefacts and through the understanding of their use within the liturgical complex, during the different ages.
From December 2023 to September 2024 I had a scholarship for the Department of Antiquities within the Agia Polis project, dealing mainly with the management of the process of documenting and studying materials from the archaeological excavation from the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre.
On 15/01/2024 I obtained my Master degree (Sapienza University of Rome) with a thesis entitled "I "pezzi mancanti" dal complesso del Santo Sepolcro: dallo studio alla ricollocazione virtuale" (‘The “missing pieces” from the Holy Sepulchre complex: from study to virtual relocation’), supervised by Prof. Francesca Romana Stasolla and Dr. Carla Benelli (110/110 cum laude).
On 20/09/2021 I obtained my Bachelor degree (Sapienza University of Rome) with a thesis entitled ‘La via delle Torri. Comunicare il paesaggio bassomedievale del settore sud-orientale della Campagna romana' ('La via delle Torri. Communicating the Low Middle Ages landscape of the south-eastern sector of the Roman countryside), supervised by Prof. Giorgia Maria Annoscia and Prof. Patrizia Gioia (108/110).
My research interests focus mainly on medieval and Christian archaeology, medieval topography (in particular of the Roman suburbs), the application of digital and virtual tools in archaeology, public and community archaeology.
