Mattia Bruni (Rome, 1996) graduated in 2019 from Sapienza University of Rome with a three-year degree in Historical-Artistic Studies with a dissertation on Federico Zeri's early education supervised by Prof. Marco Ruffini. At the same university, in 2023, he completed his master's degree in History of Art discussing a dissertation on the diffusion and development of the iconography of the Flagellation of Christ between the 13th and 16th centuries with Prof. Elisa Coletta as supervisor.
During his university training, he carried out a curricular internship (October-November 2018) at the Fondazione Zeri of the University of Bologna, mainly working on archiving photographic material. In 2020 he began collaborating with the Santarelli Foundation in Rome, for which he held the role of technical and scientific coordinator of the installation for the ten-year exhibition entitled I Colori dell'Antico. Marmi Santarelli ai Musei Capitolini, opened in April 2022.
