I am a Ph.D. Candidate at Sapienza University of Rome (Department of Economics and Law), where I also earned an M.Sc. in Economics in 2021 and a B.Sc. Economics and Finance in 2019.
My research focuses on the determinants and consequences of misinformation in our society. I use theoretical and empirical methods to investigate the impact of digital information on socio-economic variables, such as institutional trust and support for redistribution, taking into account the effects that online social networks have on the perception of inequality. I am also interested in the role played by the perception of inequality and inequality of opportunity on both institutional trust and the fall for conspiracy theories.
