Massimo Grossi is a Full Professor of Mathematical Analysis at the Faculty of Engineering at Sapienza University. He earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics in 1991 at SISSA in Trieste. He has participated in and coordinated various national and international research projects. He has visited numerous scientific institutions, including TIFR (Bangalore), UAM (Madrid), and the University of Sydney. He has organized over 15 workshops in Italy and abroad. He has supervised five Ph.D. theses. Among his publications are:

M. Grossi, "A class of solutions for the Neumann problem −Δu+λu=u^(N+2)/(N−2)," Duke Math. J., 1995
F. Gladiali, M. Grossi & S. Neves, "Nonradial solutions for the Hénon equation in R^N," Adv. Math., 2013
F. Gladiali & M. Grossi, "On the number of critical points of solutions of semilinear equations in R^2," Amer. J. Math., 2022
F. Gladiali, M. Grossi, P. Luo & S. Yan, "Qualitative analysis on the critical points of the Robin function," J. Eur. Math. Soc.
His research interests include the qualitative properties, existence, and multiplicity of solutions to linear and nonlinear elliptic equations. In recent years, he has focused on the study of level sets and the number of critical points of eigenvalue problems.
