Massimo De Giuseppe is associate professor of Contemporary History at the Università IULM of Milan, where he directs the Euresis research center and is the rector's delegate for social inclusion and peace. He is also Professor afiliado of the Centro de Investigaciones y Docencia Económica (CIDE) and correspondent member for Italy of the Academia Mexicana de la Historia. His studies focus on the history of political, social and religious movements, mostly from a transactional perspective, with attention to the sphere of peace, the concept of the third world and with a specific focus on contemporary history of Latin America. He has organized and participated in numerous international conferences and seminars and published in numerous scientific journals in Italy and abroad. He is a member of the direction committee of the journal "Contemporanea", of the editorial board of "Modernism" and "Annali di storia dell’educazione" and of the scientific committee of the "Revista de historia de las mentalidades". Among his books we mention Messico 1900-1930. Stato, chiesa, popoli indigeni (Morcelliana, 2007), La rivoluzione messicana (il Mulino, 2013), L’altra America. I cattolici italiani e l’America latina (Morcelliana, 2017), with G. La Bella Storia dell’America latina contemporanea (il Mulino, 2019), tradotto in spagnolo da Turner nel 2021, La diplomazia delle città. Giorgio La Pira e la Federazione mondiale delle città unite (Polistampa, 2022); he has edited several books including: with Guido Formigoni, Primo Mazzolari. Scritti sulla pace e sulla guerra (Edb, 2010), with Hilda Iparraguirre e Ana María González, Otras miradas de las revoluciones mexicanas. 1810-1910 (Inah, 2015).
