Marzieh Afsari is a PhD candidate at Sapienza University of Rome, specializing in Infrastructure and Transport. Her research focuses on transportation choice modeling, equity in mobility, and micro-mobility systems. She holds an M.Sc. in Transport System Engineering from Sapienza University, where she graduated with the highest distinction, and an M.Sc. in Structural Engineering from Kharazmi University, Tehran.
She has published and presented her research at leading international conferences, including the Transportation Research Board (TRB), the European Working Group on Transportation (EWGT), and the Symposium of the European Association for Research in Transportation (hEART). With professional experience in both academia and industry, including roles at PTV Group, Haoborn Software, and the Municipality of Karaj, she has expertise in Python programming, PTV Vissim, PTV Visum, data analysis tools, and project management.
