Research: Production of renewable gaseous fuels through microbial electrolysis processes

Martina Trinchillo was born in Naples on April 29, 2000.
In December 2022, she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Industrial Biotechnology from the University of Naples “Federico II”, defending an experimental thesis entitled: “Identification and characterization of the pear pathogenic fungus, Alternaria alternata, for biotechnological applications.”
In January 2025, she earned her Master’s degree in Biotechnology and Genomics for Industry and the Environment from Sapienza University of Rome, presenting an experimental thesis entitled: “Anaerobic biodegradation of toluene under sulfate-reducing conditions: influence of electrically conductive materials.”
She is currently enrolled in the PhD program in Chemical Processes for Industry and the Environment at Sapienza University of Rome.
