Main activities
Analysis with: X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM) environmental (ESEM) –microanalysis (EDX), X-ray fluorescence (XRF). Reading and identification of the materials composing the samples. Report drafting containing the description of the work performed and of the results obtained. Participation in the project “Ars Novae Calcis” aimed at formulating a new restoration mortar compatible with ancient mortars, in collaboration with the “Gabriele D’Annunzio” University of Chieti-Pescara and the University of Trieste. Analysis of the restauration mortars selected during the project by means of scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffractometry. Execution of cross-sections of plaster samples of artistic and cultural interest. Execution of the items for the mechanical stress tests, according to the European legislation.
Analysis of samples from medieval churches of Fundeni and S. Gheorge in Campulung Muscel (Romania), in collaboration with the University of Bucarest.

• H2020 Project InnovaConcrete “Innovative materials and techniques for the conservation of 20th century concrete based Cultural Heritage” (Grant Agreement N. 760858). Research activity focused on the conservation of works of historical and artistic interest in reinforced concrete. Characterization of the materials developed for the conservation of reinforced concrete and effectiveness tests after application.

Research activity focused on the recovery of cellulose from waste products, such as Absorbent Sanitary Products (PSA) and on the use of cellulose recovered from PSA to obtain textile fibers through low environmental impact processes. Study of recovery methods and separation techniques of PSA components. Reproduction of the recovery methods and separation techniques in laboratory and characterization of the treated cotton fibers. Production of recovered textile fibers from waste cellulose.
