Marco ROSSI is Full Professor of Experimental Physics of Matter at Sapienza University of Rome.
He is Chair and one of the founders of NanoInnovation, now in its 7th edition (https://www.nanoinnovation2022.eu). He has been teaching General Physics since academic year 1993-94, and Microscopy and Nanocaracterization Techniques since academic year 2008-09.

He coordinates research projects, including:
- CHALLENGES (Real-Time Nano-Characterization Related Technologies: www.challenges2020.eu), financed under the Horizon 2020 Framework Programme (14 European partners involved) - total cost approximately EUR 4.5 million.
- iENTRANCE@ENL "Infrastructure for Energy Transition and Circular Economy @ EuroNanoLab", within the framework of the Projects supported by EU Next Generation funds for a total of 75.2 Meuro. He is the Coordinator of Sapienza (financed with an amount of about 4.1 Meuro).

Marco Rossi's scientific interest mainly concerns nanoscience and nanotechnology issues. In particular, the definition of new methodologies and strategies for multiscale and multi-technology imaging and analysis, through a combined and synergic use of electron microscopies, diffraction techniques, scanning probe microscopies, and related spectroscopies.
His scientific focus is currently on the study of nanomaterials aimed at the realisation of devices and systems for energy storage and production.

Marco Rossi has published more than 230 scientific articles in international peer-reviewed journals and books (of which more than 190 indexed in the WoS and/or Scopus archives) with a total impact factor of more than 560, h-index=38 (WoS and Scopus) and h-index=41 (Google Scholar); more than 5000 citations on WoS and Scopus and more than 5800 on Google Scholar; I10-index=117 (Google Scholar); more than 350 presentations in international conferences; 2 patents on carbon-based materials.
