Lorena Gil de Montes is assisstant professor at the University of the Basque Country since 2000. She graduated in the University of the Basque Country and got her Ph.D. in the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in 2001. She has a tenure position from 2011. Her main research interests is the relationship between language use and social psychological processes. She has done research in the field of social cognition and also in more socio-constructionist approaches such as Social Representations Theory. Her fields of study are health, discrimination, communication and the socio-cultural construction of diverse social objects in health, education and social contexts.
