Research: Thermal Energy Storage Integration in power systems for P2H service - Feasibility study and market benchmarking

Lorenzo Romagnoli (Rome, 1991) is a PhD student in Energy Engineering at the Department of Astronautical, Electrical and Energy Engineering of the “La Sapienza” University of Rome.

Master's degree in Energy Engineering in 2019 with a thesis entitled "Integration models of thermal energy storage technologies (TES, Thermal Energy Storage) in electrical systems with strong penetration of non-programmable renewable source generation plants. The case of technology STEM-e", deals with the study of models of Power to Heat systems. The research work is aimed at optimizing the use of Thermal Energy Storage systems within industrial thermal processes in correlation with the technical-economic conditions deriving from the electricity and gas market.
