Research:
Lorenzo De Luca is a PhD candidate in Italian Studies (XXXVII cycle) at La Sapienza University of Rome. After obtaining a high school diploma, he continued his training by directing study and research activities in the humanities. He obtained a three-year degree in Modern Literature at La Sapienza University of Rome, with a paper entitled La prima redazione dei sonetti della Vita Nuova: saggio d’interpretazione delle varianti (supervisor: Prof. Marco Grimaldi); and a master's degree in Modern Philology with a thesis entitled Il ms. Madrileno 10186 della Commedia dantesca, (supervisor: Prof. Giorgio Inglese; co-supervisor: Prof. Marco Grimaldi).
He conducts a research project on the fortune and tradition of a late antique work, la Visio Pauli (The Apocalypse of Paul), with the aim of addressing, through a monographic work, the influence on medieval literary culture, particularly in reference to the Italian, Romance and in particular the influence on Dante's production, according to an approach of study and analysis based on the close correlation between an ecdotic and hermeneutic perspective.
His main areas of research are developed in the field of Origins literature, with particular attention to the field of Dante's philology and criticism. He is a critic at the Rivista di Studi Danteschi.
