Research:
Leonardo Bianchini (2000) graduated in Scienze Storiche (Medioevo, Età Moderna e Età Contemporanea) from Sapienza University of Rome, presenting a thesis on the role of the Italian Aeronautical Corps during the First World War. His research interests encompass military history, with a particular focus on major national military archives, as well as the history of international relations, with an emphasis on Eastern Europe and the dynamics of recent global and regional conflicts (Europe, the Middle East, Indo-Pacific region). Since 2023, he has been collaborating with the Interdepartmental Research Center “Cooperazione con l'Eurasia, il Mediterraneo e l'Africa Sub-sahariana” (CEMAS) at Sapienza University of Rome, primarily handling editorial reviews. He is also working with the "Taiwan Center for International Strategic Studies" (TCISS), contributing with articles on Indo-Pacific issues for the “Geopolitica.info” research centre’s website (EISIPS project). Additionally, since 2023, he has been a member of the editorial board of the Rivista di Studi Ungheresi (RSU), where he has also published his articles. Starting in 2024, he is a PhD candidate in European History and Cultures, with a research project titled: L’Aeronautica Militare dalla cobelligeranza alla Nato (1944-1950).
