Research: Drug delivery in anti cancer therapy

PREVIOUS RESEARCH EXPERIENCE: Lab fellowship at Antidoping Laboratory F.M.S.I. Rome, Italy (May 2019- October 2020).
Research project "Genetic polymorphisms and antidoping analysis: towords the athlete's biological passport expansion". Cytotoxic analysis on in vitro models (HepG2, CaCo2), delivery of human growth hormone (GH) in macrophages models (Raw 264.7 cell line) and evaluation of cytotoxicity by MTS assay. Study of GH-IGF-1 axis polymorphisms in human serum and whole blood by ELISA. Supervisors of the study: Prof. Francesco Botrè and Francesco Donati, PhD.

Erasmus + Traineeship at OCDEM (Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Metabolism and Endocrinology), University of Oxford, UK (April 2018- July 2018). Evaluation of incretins (GLP-1, PYY) effects on insulin release from Langerhans Islets isolated from murine models and in vitro models (INS-1) by ELISA and RIA. Study performed under the supervision of Claudia Guida, PhD.

Erasmus + for Master's thesis at Pharmacology Laboratory of San Pablo CEU University, Madrid, Spain (February 2017 - July 2017). Thesis title "Effect of a high fat diet on memory process in a murine model of obesity". Evaluation of the effects of HFD (high fat diet) on glutamate pathway by behavioral tests (Y-maze), RT-PCR and Western Blotting on hippocampal and pre-frontal cortex from mouse models of obesity. Research activity was under the supervision of Prof. Mariano Ruiz Gayo and Adrian Plaza de la Fuente, PhD.
