Narra-tive summary Born in Uruguay, South America, from European parents, I completed primary and secondary Education in the official French School (Lycee Francais), obtaining the Baccalaureat en Philsophie by the University of Toulouse at 16. I attended the School of Architecture in Uruguay and, for graduate studies, the Department of Architecture at Cambridge University, UK. Selected as Re-search Associate at the LUBFS Center, Cambridge University for two years studying the British New Towns,with a SSRC grant. I then returned to South America and practiced in Brazil for 8 years and in Uruguay for 18 years. During this time, I taught graduating studios for 18 years at the Universidad de la Republica, FAU, Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism, where I also directed the Center for Aca-demic Cooperation, establishing International Cooperative Agreements and renowned International Seminars. I have founded and co-directed my architectural firm MKRO since 1989 to 2003. My pro-fessional work in Architecture and Urban Design has international reputation, won numerous awards, among them the First Price at the 2003 Sao Paulo Architecture Biennale. My project for the Memorial in Remembrance of Disappeared Detained Citizens has been declared in May 2014 a National Historic landmark. Theoretical work and projects have been published in Latin American, European and Amer-ican 2 magazines. I have lead consulting teams in Urban Planning and Urban design for interdiscipli-nary projects in Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina and Chile. In 2003 I was selected as Director for the School of Architecture at University of Florida, USA, which I chaired during the period 2003-2008. I have lectured in universities in France, Italy, China and Latin America at undergraduate, graduate, doctoral and post-professional levels. In the course of these activities, I have constructed an extended network with professionals, academics and administrators in the USA, and abroad in Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Mexico, Peru, Chile and Venezuela, Jamaica, Italy, France, Belgium, Austria, the Nether-lands, UK, Hong Kong, Japan, China and India. I am fluent in five languages and capable of simulta-neous translation from and to any of them. In the five years I have been an Administrator at UF, I have participated actively in the creation or enhancement of study abroad programs in Italy, Mexico, China, India and France, in the establishment of Cooperative Agreements with seven renowned for-eign Universities, and to take the School of Architecture to graduate 74% of its students with a signif-icant experience abroad. I promoted the Community Design Center to act as a consultant to projects in the State of Florida, and the installation of an outpost, City Lab Orlando now fully operational. Under my term of office, the School obtained the NAAB perfect reaccreditation score for the first time. I am currently, as a Professor, performing multiple activities in the School of Architecture and the Center for Latin American Studies, while teaching one semester abroad every two years in our Vicenza Insti-tute of Architecture in Italy. I have directed since 2009 multiple studios at Upper division and Gradu-ate level, involving our students in creating significant proposals, in cooperation with the local authori-ties, for cities in Florida as: Saint Augustine, Gainesville, White Springs, Jacksonville, Green Cove Springs, Crescent City, Cape Canaveral, Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Longboat Key, Miami and the East Intracoastal Waterway. I am the co-founder of the Consortium for Hydro generated Urbanism, a special program in our Graduate School of Architecture with affiliates across the world and the Direc-tor of the Center for Hydro-generated Urbanism since 2016.
