Ricerca: Valutazione dell'effetto della pulizia dell'ossigeno atomico sulla pittura ad olio

I beni culturali costituiscono una risorsa inestimabile e insostituibile. Ciò significa che particolare attenzione è rivolta alla questione delle procedure di conservazione e dei materiali utilizzati, il loro effetto sui materiali artistici utilizzati negli oggetti d'arte. Questa ricerca è condotta nell'ambito del progetto europeo MOXY, con l'obiettivo di sviluppare una nuova tecnica di pulizia al plasma freddo senza contatto basata sull'ossigeno atomico (AO) per la pulizia dei beni culturali. Il mio obiettivo è quello di sviluppare un approccio metodologico per studiare e quantificare l'impatto dell'AO sulla vernice ad olio attraverso l'uso della spettrometria di massa (SPME GC-MS/ EGA-MS, ESI-MS), termoanalitica (TGA, DSC) e spettrale (ATR-FTIR).
