Research:
Jessica Planamente graduated in Art History (MA) with honours in 2014 at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” with a thesis entitled Hinc lactor ab ubere, hinc pascor a vulnere. The double intercession between Christ’s blood and the milk of the Virgin, receiving the award of “Excellent Graduate of Sapienza” in the academic year 2013-2014. She is currently involved in the XXXV cycle of the PhD in Art History, with a project dedicated to L'Aquila and the Abruzzi during the first half of the 15th century.
In 2015 she obtained the professional qualification as a tourist guide of the Metropolitan City of Rome and the teaching qualification for high school (class A054, ex A061-Art History), working as a teacher since the school year 2015-2016.
In 2017 she attended an international conference organized by the University of Geneva, Le Lait de l’esprit, with an intervention entitled Hinc lactor ab ubere, hinc pascor a vulnere. St. Augustine between Christ’s blood and Mary’s milk, which will be edited in the conference proceedings. Her research on St. Augustine continues with the drafting of texts for the volumes of L’Iconografia agostiniana, edited by A. Cosma-G. Pittiglio. In the same year she co-edited the entries of the graphic oeuvre by Mario Sironi for the exhibition catalogue Sironi svelato: il restauro del murale della Sapienza, edited by E. Billi-L. D’Agostino.
In 2018 she collaborated on the exhibition catalogue La fototeca di Adolfo Venturi alla Sapienza edited by I. Schiaffini by writing five entries and, in the same year, she concluded the School of Specialization in Historical and Artistic Heritage at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, with a thesis entitled Two dates (1433-1448) and a signature: NICOLAI DE GUARDIA GRELIS, the maker of the antependium in the Cathedral of Teramo.
In September 2018 she was hired permanently as high school Art History teacher and in 2019 she successfully concluded the year of training.
