Titolo della tesi: Realistic Model for Random Lasers from Spin-Glass Theory

In this work the leading spin-glass model for random lasers is studied both numerically and analytically. Through a refined finite-size scaling analysis, the mean-field universality class of the model is assessed and the presence of pseudo-localization of light intensity on a finite number of modes is determined. The analytical solution of the model is addressed with the replica symmetry breaking theory for mean-field spin-glass models. The specific dilution rule which characterizes the topology of the interaction network makes the solution of the model a nontrivial task. A new technique is developed, by exploiting an analogy with the Merit Factor problem.
