After obtaining his degree in the Faculty of Law of the Sapienza University of Rome with honors and honors, Giuliana Scognamiglio began her academic career as a Researcher of Commercial Law at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, which he left in 1987, after winning a national competition to associate professor positions and was therefore called to cover, with this qualification, the teaching in Commercial Law in the faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Teramo. In 1990 she won the national competition for positions as full professor of commercial law and with this qualification she was called to teach Business Law in the Faculty of Law of the University of Teramo. In 1995 she was called as full professor of Commercial Law in the Faculty of Political Sciences of the Sapienza University of Rome, which she left in 2012 following the call to the Faculty of Law of the same University, where she currently teaches - sometimes in co-ownership with other teachers - the following disciplines: commercial law, advanced commercial law, banking law, financial market law and coordinates the PhD commercial law curriculum. She is currently president of the Italian Association of University Professors of Commercial Law. Her scientific interests, documented in numerous publications, mainly address the law of groups of companies, the legal discipline of corporate reorganizations, the law of the crisis of companies and bankruptcy procedures, banking and financial law. She is co-editor of some specialized scientific journals, including "Commercial Law" and the "Business Law Journal". He founded and is co-editor of the open access online magazine "Horizons of commercial law". She teaches in the Master of Business Law at LUISS.
