Dr Giovanni B. Andornino is a tenured Assistant Professor of International Relations of East Asia at the University of Turin. A former Visiting Professor at the European University Institute, he has served as the founding Editor of the "OrizzonteCina" academic quarterly (2010-2022). His main research interests are China’s domestic politics and foreign policy. Dr Andornino’s latest Open Access publication is “China’s pursuit of international status through negotiated deference: an empirical analysis of Italy’s parliamentary attitude,” Italian Political Science Review (2023: 53).
