Gerben Meynen is a philosopher and psychiatrist. He is professor of forensic psychiatry, Willem Pompe Institute for Criminal Law and Criminology, Utrecht University, and professor of ethics, in particular bioethics, Department of Philosophy, VU University Amsterdam. In 2021, he received a 5-year grant from the Dutch Research Council (NWO) for the project Law and Ethics of Neurotechnology in Criminal Justice.
