Research: Torquato Tasso's marginal notes to Dante's "Commedia": critical and commented edition

Giulia Mari (Rome, 1994) obtained with honours a master's degree in Modern Philology in January 2019 at La Sapienza-University of Rome, discussing a dissertation entitled “Le edizioni Ingegneri della «Liberata». Per una ricostruzione storica e filologica” (supervisor: prof. E. Russo; co-supervisor: prof. P. Procaccioli). The work proposes the analysis of the variants of the first complete editions of the poem and discusses some aspects of the figure who edited it, Angelo Ingegneri. The results are presented in the article “Le edizioni Ingegneri della «Liberata»”, soon to be published in the journal «Studi Tassiani».

She is currently a PhD student in Italian Studies at La Sapienza-University of Rome (37th cycle), where she is carrying out a research project with the aim of establishing a critical and commented edition of Torquato Tasso's marginal notes to Dante's "Commedia".

She is part of the University Project "TransLATINg: Italian Literary Texts in Latin Translation", coordinated by F. Lucioli (La Sapienza University).
