Giulia Dominijanni received her Master's degree in Management Engineering at the University of Rome La Sapienza in January 2021 with a final grade of 110/110 cum laude. She discussed a thesis in combinatorial optimization about "Graph coloring methods for frequency assignment problems".
During her university studies she participated in numerous training activities, including the Erasmus programme at the "Facultad de Ciencias Economicas Y Empresariales" at the "Autonoma" University of Madrid.
After a brief experience in the world of Consulting, she starts in April 2021 the Industrial PhD in Mathematical Models for Engineering at the Department of Basic and Applied Sciences for Engineering in collaboration with the SME Sigma Consulting, part of the ATEN IS network.
The project, called SMART FAI (smart farming with Artificial Intelligence) is aimed at developing innovative AI techniques in the field of Smart Farming. The main objectives include the development of advanced AI techniques on monitoring systems composed of one or more drones. The methodologies developed will make it possible to define innovative detection tools that go beyond the usual detection techniques and will contribute to increasing the company's competitiveness in terms of automating the elaboration processes, reducing the complexity of early warning algorithms, and perfecting sensors and acquisition methods.
In November 2021, she received the qualification to practice as an engineer in section A.
