Research: The representation of martyrdom in the memory of the PCF, PCd'I and PCE (1936-1956)
Giovanni Rufino graduated in History, Territorial Sciences, and for the international cooperation at the University of Roma Tre: a Bachelor's degree thesis in History of Religions analyzing the historical case of the Nation Of Islam as 'religious nationalism without a nation' and as a self-determination movement of African Americans in the 1950s and 1960s. He carried out research activities at the Saint Francis Ways Consortium in Todi in the project "The narration of the place and its protagonists: new tools for narrating the Lucrezie complex, the Convent of Saint Francis and the history of Franciscan monasteries" (November 2021 - December 2022). In September 2021, he took part in the advanced course in Public History 'Narrazioni d'Europa' (Narratives of Europe) organized by the University of Roma Tre. From January to April 2023 he did an internship at the Italian Cultural Institute in Madrid as part of the Maeci-Crui project. In 2023 he graduated with honors with a Master's degree in Cultural Strategies for Cooperation and Development from the University of Roma Tre with a thesis entitled: "Mythopoiesis of Martyrdom in Italian Anarchist and Socialist Movements (1871-1922)".
