Research: Diplomatic relations between pre-unification States and the Sublime Porte. The word to the archival documents.

Giovanni Cassano holds a Bachelor's degree in History, Anthropology and Religion (L-42) from the University of Rome, La Sapienza. His thesis was on the History of Eastern Europe, discussing the Capitulations between the Ottoman Empire and the European powers. He obtained a distinction in his Master's degree, Historical Sciences. Middle Ages, Modern Age and Contemporary Age (LM-84) at the same university. He subsequently obtained a second level Master's degree in Public History at the Università Statale of Milan in collaboration with the Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Foundation, discussing the project ‘Stumbling Stones and QR Codes for Memory’. He did an internship at the Holocaust Memorial Foundation in Milan from 2023 to 2024. He also has a Diploma in European Affairs from the Institute for International Political Studies - ISPI in Milan. Since 2024 he has been a PhD student in History and Cultures of Europe with a project entitled "Diplomatic relations between pre-unification States and the Sublime Porte. The word to the archival documents".
