Gilberto Corbellini is full professor of History of medicine and teaches Bioethics at Sapienza University of Rome, where he has also leaded the Museum of history of medicine until 2017. He graduated in Philosophy of science with a dissertation on Donald Campbell, Konrad Lorenz and Karl Popper evolutionary epistemology, and got a PhD in public heath. His initial research interests concerned evolutionary bioethics history and philosophy, immunoscience and neuroscience, and included the study of malaria and malariology in Italy, the impact of molecular genetics in medicine, the implications of darwinian evolutionary approach on medicine and the evolution of medical pedagogy.
