Research: Tephrochronology, modelling and dynamics of large-magnitude eruptions in the Central Mediterranean area

Bachelor's Degree in Geological Sciences in 2018; Master's Degree in Exploration Geology in 2020; Currently a PhD student in Earth Sciences. Project title: "Tephrochronology, modelling and dynamics of large-magnitude eruptions in the Central Mediterranean area". The aim of the research is to to reconstruct the eruptive history of the Campi Flegrei volcano with greater details and completeness. The results will improve current research in tephrochronology and provide new constraints on recurrence times of large-magnitude eruptions in the central Mediterranean area. The research will provide the basis to model future eruptive scenarios and to assess the hazard of high-magnitude events in proximal and distal settings. Research topics: volcanology, geochemistry, volcanic hazard.
