Research: The lost feast. The search for a new timeThe aim of my research is to investigate the concept of the feast as it is presented in philosophy, maintaining its complexity, treating it as a phenomenon of the threshold, on the border between numerous disciplines and with a strong political value. Although there are hints of the feast in the works of many philosophers, it always seems to be analysed from a one-sided perspective. Today there is no proper treatment of it. Indeed, a study of this subject cannot avoid a dual experience of theory and practice. What is the relevance of the feast? Why do its treatments have a mainly anthropological character and why is there a lack of adequate philosophical work today? This study is concerned with outlining the complex constellation of themes that arise around the feast, showing how they interact with each other. A particular area of reflection is reserved for the influence of celebration on temporality. By investigating the eminently political aspects of this relationship, a theory of the anarchic feast is outlined, one that eschews its foundation in a mythical past and contributes to the creation of a new future.
