Research: Socio-economic dynamics and specialisation techniques between the Navkur Plain (Iraqi Kurdistan) and the Upper Euphrates (south-eastern Turkey). Technological study of lithic artefacts from the sites of Asingeran, Arslantepe and Gird-i Matrab in the Early (TC 1-2) and Middle (TC 3) Late Chalcolithic.
Born on 13 August 1997 in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, I obtained my Bachelor's and Master's degrees at the University of Udine, respectively in Conservation of Cultural Heritage Archaeological Curriculum and in Archaeology and Cultures of Antiquity, the latter with top marks.
In particular, I graduated with a thesis on the lithic industry between the 5th and 4th millennium BC of the site of Asingeran, Iraqi Kurdistan, a site in which I have been regularly taking part since the first excavation campaign, inaugurated in 2019 under the direction of Prof. Marco Iamoni, in turn director of the Asingeran Excavation Project (AEP).
Since then I have taken part in further excavation campaigns in Southwest Asia, in particular in North Lebanon (2022), with the Northern Lebanon Archaeological Project (NoLeP) and in Eastern Anatolia, with the Italian Archaeological Mission in Eastern Anatolia (MAIAO), under the direction of Francesca Balossi Restelli.
I specialise in the study of protohistoric lithic industries, the subject of my PhD research project.
Before specialising in Oriental Archaeology, I had the opportunity to participate in excavations in Italy in the classical and protohistoric fields, such as the Grandi Termi in Aquileia and the Ca'Baredi site near Canale Anfora, and in Europe, such as the excavation of the Mycenaean necropolis of Trapezà in Western Greece.
In the workplace, I have experience in the tourism sector, as a guide and operator.
