Prof. Avv. Francesco de Leonardis is Full Professor of Administrative and Environmental Law (SC 12/D1 - SSD IUS/10) at the University of Macerata.
He has been professor of Environmental Law at the University of Roma Tre for ten years. At the same university, he now teaches Ecology and Environmental Sustainability.
He is the author of over one hundred publications on administrative law, administrative justice and environmental law.
He is deputy editor of the class A scientific journal 'Diritto amministrativo' published by Giuffré. He is a member of the editorial board of the class A scientific journal 'Diritto processuale amministrativo' published by Giuffré. He is also a member of the scientific committee of the class A scientific journal 'Rivista quadrimestrale di Diritto dell'Ambiente' (www.rqda.it) published by Editoriale Scientifica. Finally, he is a member of the editorial board of the scientific journal 'Jus Publicum' (www.ius-publicum.com).
He has been a GEV member of the Scientific Area 12 in the VQR 2015-2019.
He has been President and member of a Ministerial Commission at the Ministry of the Environment, Land and Sea (now Ministry of the Environment and Energy Safety) for the reform of the Environmental Code (Waste and Remediation Section).
He has been a consultant to the bicameral Commission of Inquiry into illegal activities connected with the waste cycle and related environmental offences.
Since 2020 he is President of the Italian Association of Environmental Law (AIDAMBIENTE).
He has been practicing as attorney since 1994 and as Court of Cassation lawyer since 2007. He owns a professional firm based in Rome.
