Education: she received her Clinical Pathology specialisation on June 2014 at the “La Sapienza” University of Rome, the title of thesis was “Diagnosi biomolecolare della presenza di HPV in campioni clinici della cavità orale: confronto fra popolazione sana e pazienti affetti da lesioni precancerose e tumori della cavità orale”. She graduated on May 2006 in Molecular Biology at the “La Sapienza” University of Rome, by discussing a thesis entitled: “Stress ossidativo e modulazione di cellule epiteliali trasformate da Human Papilloma Virus tipo 16”. She received her technician’s diploma in chemistry and biology in Julie 1998.
Research experiences: Since 2006 she is working in the Laboratory of Virology of the Regina Elena Cancer Institute (IRE), as co.co.co in several Projects sponsored by Lega Italiana Lotta Tumori and Ministry of Health. In particular, she was in chief of a workpackage on the study of beta genus HPVs within a collaborative Project with Hospital San Carlo-IDI on “HPV in the carcinogenesis of the oropharynx area” and as Co-P.I. on Erb receptor family in an internal Grant of IRE. At present she is co.co.co in the UOSD Tumor Immunology and Immunotherapy at the Regina Elena National Cancer Institute following a project on HPV immunotherapy and she is in charge to use the Luminex (Bio-Rad platform) to study cytokine and chemokine in pre-clinical model and in Human.
Technical skills and competences: She has extensive competences in molecular biology in particular with several assays about Polymerase chain reaction (PCR), Reverse PCR, Real time PCR, identification of protein as Western-blot and Immuprecipitation method. In addition, she is working in animal house for vaccine research for HPV associated cancer.
