Abstract:
The aim of the research project is to analyze the phenomenon of "Islamization"of the culture of the hindu kingdom of Vijayanagara (1336-1565).
For this purpose the methodological approach will be based on the study of iconography that testify to the presence of Muslims in the kingdom, and on the interpretation of elements of the architectural repertoire of Islamic India in the secular architecture of Vijayanagara.
