EXPERIENCE
November 2021 – Present
PhD Researcher • CTL (Centre of Transport and Logistics) University of Rome
▪ Participated in multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research projects that focuses on transport sustainability, climate change, transport automation, transportation modelling and transportation safety through development of innovative methodologies and dissemination of territorial information.
▪ Carried out analytical and advisory services, reviewed Deliverables, produced technical reports, carried out data and statistical analysis and disseminated findings on workshops and conferences.
▪ Spearheading research on improving public transport safety, vulnerable road user safety, and speed management in Yaoundé. Assistant lecturer on the courses of road safety, transport policies and research methodologies. Peer reviewer of research articles.

March 2023 - December 2023
Cameroon Local Action Project Leader • Youths for Post Crash Care
▪ Led the preparation of a road safety local action program on improving youths’ health and wellbeing through post-crash care in the city of Yaoundé.
▪ Led a team of over 90 young people in implementing project activities such as carrying road safety education and awareness program for adolescent and teenagers, post-crash care and first aid training for young people, targeted trainings for closing gender gaps in mobility including training on safe riding and safe usage of motorcycle as well as raising awareness on key risk factors. Led discussions, negotiations, and advocacy initiatives with officials.

SDG Champion: Global Youth Coalition for Road safety
▪ Prepared Policy briefs for disseminating knowledge on the intersection between youth, road safety and SDG 11. Brought evidence on how youth can meaningfully be involved in improving sustainability, road safety and creating a safer and healthier environment.
▪ Collaborated with team members on developing initiatives for improving youth’s road safety and disseminating knowledge on a paradigm shift of improving the SDGs through targeted actions on road safety.

2021 to 2022
Transport Consultant • World Bank
▪ Provided a full range of operational support to the task team in the supervision of transport projects which included a design-build Expressways development project, a performance-based Road sector development project and an Urban Transport Improvement project.
▪ Provided timely technical assistance to task team in reviewing documents prepared by the clients & consultants and the preparation of technical review comments, with a focus on their technical, operational, and institutional adequacy and compliance with Bank policies.
▪ Collaborated with task team in the preparation of a regional integration economic project (The Horn of Africa) and Rural roads program. Contributed to mainstreaming road safety, gender, climate change and Paris alignment into the projects.
▪ Collaborated with task team on analytical and advisory services (ASAs) focused on Urban safety improvement and preparation of technical guidelines. Reviewed consultants’ deliverables and provided technical inputs and assistance, followed-up progress, prepared documents to World Bank publication standards and assisted to addressing reviewers’ comments.
▪ Collaborated with task team on monitoring the implementation of projects to ensure compliance with road safety, environmental and social safeguards, including Gender-Based Violation (GBV)
▪ Led the preparation of a literature review on speed management in low-and middle-income countries (LMICs) to shed lights on the link between speed, road safety and decarbonization and to improve knowledge on the relationship between speed and road safety outcome so as to guide policies in managing this critical public health issue.

▪ Carried out dissemination activities for master’s students on Research strategies.
▪ Collaborated on a World Bank funded research through data collection and reporting.
▪ Spearheaded and led a research subgroup to investigate the participation of insurance companies on safety strategies.
▪ Disseminated research outputs on road safety at the National level on conferences organized for civil engineers.

Civil Engineer and Task team leader • Protect Your Environment Foundation
▪ Led a team of 23 staff, nationwide, and ensured close collaboration and communication from all participating regions.
▪ Designed training materials for environmental protection education. Organized and trained 30 trainers on environmental protection.
▪ Developed and implemented training and education of over 10,000 college students on health and environmental protection in the City of Yaoundé.

▪ Supervised (as part of the supervision consultants) the construction of road works around the Japoma stadium in the city of Douala.
▪ Monitored project progress and schedules while proposing and resolving construction issues.
▪ Ensured respect of designs standards and guideline by contractors. Reviewed designs and suggested areas of improvements.
