EXPERIENCE
January 2022 – Present
PhD Researcher • CTL (Centre of Transport and Logistics) University of Rome
▪ Conducted analytical and advisory services, reviewed deliverables, produced technical reports, and performed statistical analysis for various Italian projects on transport sustainability, road safety, and logistics and passenger freight models contributing to informed and improved national and sub-national transport logistics and sustainability.
▪ Participated in multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research projects funded by the European Union, such as PANACEA, Drive2TheFuture, and TRENDLINE, encompassing technological innovation in transport; Conducted data analytics, defined methodologies, and prepared reports, enhancing the research quality and impact.
▪ Delivered various lectures on road safety, research methodology, transport policies, and transport data collection to 30 transport professionals in Uganda and over 200 graduate students, and supervised over 20 Master's students in their thesis research development to improve sustainable transport policies in developing countries.
▪ Spearheaded various research initiatives, including sustainable mobility pattern assessments, public transport safety, vulnerable road user safety, and road user risk behaviors. Proposed new frameworks for investigating and improving motorcycle safety. Led and published 4 scientific articles and disseminated research findings in conferences.

January 2021 to 2022
Transport Intern • World Bank
▪ Provided a full range of operational support to the task team in the supervision of transport projects which included a design-build Expressways development project, a performance-based Road sector development project and an Urban Transport Improvement project.
▪ Provided timely technical assistance to task team in reviewing documents prepared by the clients & consultants and the preparation of technical review comments, with a focus on their technical, operational, and institutional adequacy and compliance with Bank policies.
▪ Collaborated with task team in the preparation of a regional integration economic project (The Horn of Africa) and Rural roads program. Contributed to mainstreaming road safety, gender, climate change and Paris alignment into the projects.
▪ Collaborated with task team on analytical and advisory services (ASAs) focused on Urban safety improvement and preparation of technical guidelines. Reviewed consultants’ deliverables and provided technical inputs and assistance, followed-up progress, prepared documents to World Bank publication standards and assisted to addressing reviewers’ comments.
▪ Collaborated with task team on monitoring the implementation of projects to ensure compliance with road safety, environmental and social safeguards, including Gender-Based Violation (GBV)
▪ Led the preparation of a literature review on speed management in low-and middle-income countries (LMICs) to shed lights on the link between speed, road safety and decarbonization and to improve knowledge on the relationship between speed and road safety outcome so as to guide policies in managing this critical public health issue.

Sustainable development goal (SDG 11) Champion and Global Youth Mobility Ambassador: Global Youth Coalition for Road safety
▪ Led the preparation of global and regional specific policy research and a global youth statement to highlight issues and propose youth demands targeting climate change, sustainable cities, health, and inequalities in regard to transportation and road safety. Developed, published and disseminated policy briefs on SDG 11 (sustainable cities and communities).

March 2023 – Present
Cameroon Road Safety and Climate Change Local Action Project Leader
▪ Spearheaded the preparation and successfully secured five competitive international local action grants aimed at assessing mobility patterns of women and people with disabilities, promoting emission reductions, enhancing youth health and safety, improving school journeys, and providing digital tools for road safety data collection. These projects will impact over 1 million people, including 40-60% women and youths in the city of Yaoundé and Buea, Cameroon.
▪ Led a team of over 160 young individuals, successfully training 80 motorcycle riders in safety practices and post-crash care, educating 48 women on safe mobility and gender-based violence prevention, certifying 50 youths in post-crash care, engaging 1,000 community members through road safety awareness campaigns, facilitating youth-led advocacy meetings, enhancing road safety skills of over 200 young people, designing a road safety curriculum piloted in six schools and proposing countermeasures to improve safe and green mobility to 14 schools, impacting over 2000 students.

Research Assistant • ENSTP Yaoundé • Protect Your Environment Foundation
▪ Contributed to a World Bank-funded project through data collection and reporting, and collaborated on a SaferAfrica Project funded by the European Union, resulting in the creation of a scientific and institutional Dialogue Platform.
▪ Led a team of 23 staff members nationwide, created and disseminated training materials on environmental protection, organized training for 30 trainers, and executed educational programs for over 10,000 college students in Yaoundé, significantly raising awareness about health and environmental protection.
