Thesis title: Materiali mitologici nella contemporaneità: Ursula K. Le Guin fra pensiero controcultural-spirituale, ecologico, femminista.

The dissertation investigates Ursula K. Le Guin’s work as a form of critical mythopoiesis, where imagination, language, and knowledge converge to articulate an alternative understanding of reality. Drawing upon literary theory, symbolic anthropology, and narrative philosophy, it examines myth as a cognitive and political device that reconfigures the relation between the human, the nonhuman, and the world. Le Guin transforms utopian and fantastic narration into a site of resistance against the disenchanted logic of modernity, developing an ecological and relational imagination in which the poetic word becomes both political gesture and mode of knowing. Her writing unfolds as a threshold space—where fiction does not escape the world, but re-enchants it by renewing the ethical horizon of the possible.
