Research: Landslides and climate: an analysis based on coupled stress-strain, monitoring and landscape evolution modelling
Based on engineering geology, my studies are focused on the conceptualization of engineering-geological models. In particular, slope stability analysis, seismic local response analysis, geology applied to engineering and geotechnics are the disciplines on which I am most specialized.
I have a Bachelor degree in "Geological Sciences" and a Master one in "Geology applied to Engineering, Territory and Risks" achieved at Sapienza University of Rome in 2019 and 2021 respectively, both reached with honours. For the Master degree I disserted a thesis entitled "Analysis of earthquake-induced landslides distribution triggered by the 2016 Central Appennines seismic sequence in relation to engineering-geological and seismotectonic factors" (Relator: Prof. Salvatore Martino). For the same degree course, I won the Excellence Acknowledgment and I was awarded as the most meritorious student in the master's degree program in "Geology applied to Engineering, Territory and Risks"
From January to October 2022, I worked as geologist for the Department of Geology, Environment and Territory of "Studio Speri" Company, offering advice in the field of design, maintenance and verification of great engineering works such as dams and infrastructures.
To date, I am a Ph.D. student of the Earth Science Department of Sapienza University of Rome. My research project is focused on the comprehension of relations between the activation and evolution of landslides and climate, mainly through stress-strain analyses.
