Research: Textile Culture in the cities of Ionia
2024: Master’s Degree in Archaeology (“Sapienza” University of Rome). Thesis title: “Runway at the fountain. Textiles and dress in "women at the fountain" scenes on Attic pottery (late VI - early V c. bce | Sfilata alla fontana. Abiti e tessuti nelle scene di donne alla fontana sulla ceramica attica (fine VI - inizi V sec. a.C.)”. 110/110 cum laude. Supervisor: prof. A. Lo Monaco; co-supervisor: prof. C. Lemorini.
2021: Bachelor’s Degree in Archaeological Sciences (“Sapienza” University of Rome). Thesis title: “Painter and Spinner: Spinning representations on Attic pottery (VI-IV c. bce) | Il Pittore e la Filatrice: rappresentazioni di filatura nella ceramica attica (VI-IV sec. a.C)"”. 110/110 cum laude. Supervisor: prof. M. Galli.
In 2024 I participated in the Erasmus+ Traineeship program at the Centre for Textile Research (CTR) in Copenhagen. In the same year, I also participated in the Erasmus+ program, studying for a semester at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
Since 2022 I participated in the research and excavation project at Gortyn (Crete) directed by prof. R. Sassu (Unitelma Sapienza and “Sapienza” University of Roma). As a member of the research team, I studied the local common ware.
Between 2020 and 2021 I conducted a study on loom-weights excavated in the Ager Faliscus through the Honorary Program (“Sapienza” University of Roma). Since then, I collaborate the the Falerii Project team studying textile tools found during the excavations conducted on the Vignale plateau under the direction of prof. M. C. Biella.
I have participated in excavations conducted at Veii “Piano di Comunità” (Italy), Pyrgi (Italy), Itanos (Crete) and Gortyn (Crete).
