Research:
Federica De Giambattista graduated with honors in Medieval and Renaissance History of Art at the Catholic Sacred Heart University in Milan, trained by Professors Francesca Flores d’Arcais as thesis supervisor and Marco Rossi as supporting supervisor; she’s also got the qualification of Specialist cum laude after attending the post graduate Course in Historical Heritage at la Sapienza University in Rome, with a dissertation on Medieval History of Art, under the supervision of Professor Fabio Betti. She is currently a PhD student in Medieval History of Art (35rd period of study), with grant, at the Department of History, Anthropology, Religions, Art and Entertainment of la Sapienza University with a research project about Ludwig Pollak’s activity as collector and art dealer of medieval works of art in Italy between the end of the XIX century and the beginning of the XX c.
In 2017 she trained as an apprentice with FAI - The Environment Italian Foundation, linked to The National Trust – supporting the Roman Delegation by managing the conference programs Otto capolavori da scoprire-Eight Masterpieces to discover at the Argentina Theatre and Grandi famiglie che hanno costruito Roma-Great noble families who built Rome at Palazzo Barberini and in 2018 she did the same with Museo di Roma at Palazzo Braschi, applying herself to the study of several remembrance sculptures of the magistri viarum roman magistrature. In the same year she’s been supporting curator for the exhibition Litografia Bulla. Un viaggio di 200 anni tra arte e tecnica-Bulla Lithography. A two hundred years Journey between Art and Technique at Palazzo Poli-The Central Institute for Prints and Drawings in Rome and she’s also been a speaker for the round-table Crono-Logiche: una rilettura degli anni ’60 in Italia-Crono-logiche: a new Interpretation of 1960’s in Italy, at the Modern Art Gallery of Rome. From 2006-2007 to 2010-2011 she had been an academic assistant for the Theory and Techniques of Image and Brand Promotion Course at the Literature and Philosophy Department of the Catholic Sacred Heart University in Milan. For several years she has been a fundraiser for leading italian cultural institutions and companies, with a specialization in corporate fundraising.
