Fabrizio Colantoni is a PhD student in Economics and Development at the Sapienza University of Rome.

He is also an honorary fellow in Macroeconomics and Applied International Economics for the Department of Industrial, Information and Economic Engineering at the University of L'Aquila.

He was a research fellow from 2019 to 2021 at the Department of Industrial Engineering, Information and Economics of the University of L'Aquila in the research project called "Open Territories" where he worked on the economic analysis of inner areas affected by the 2009 and 2016 earthquakes.

His research topics are: migration and trade; Structural Gravity Model; Global Value Chains, Foreign Direct Investment and local development.
