Fabio Sterpetti is tenure track Assistant Professor (RTD-B) of Logic and Philosophy of Science at the Department of Philosophy, Sapienza University of Rome, where he received his PhD in Philosophy in 2012. From 2013 to 2015 he has been postdoctoral researcher at the same University. He then has been postdoctoral researcher at Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome (2017-2018). He has been Contract Professor of Philosophy of Science (2016-2017) and of Logic (2017-2018) at the Department of Philosophy, Sapienza University of Rome. He has been fixed-term Assistant Professor (RTD-A) at the same Department (2018-2022). His research focuses on some aspects surrounding the realism/anti-realism debate in the philosophy of science, such as, for instance, the difficulty of making scientific realism compatible with a naturalist stance. His articles appeared in journals such as "History and Philosophy of the Life Sciences"; "Synthese"; "Philosophia"; "Axiomathes"; "Topoi"; "Paradigmi". He wrote the book "La logica del naturalismo: Metafilosofia e filosofia della scienza alla luce della sfida naturalista" (Mimesis, 2021). He co-edited, with Marta Bertolaso, the volume "A Critical Reflection on Automated Science" (Springer, 2020) and, with Emiliano Ippoliti and Thomas Nickles, the volume "Models and Inferences in Science" (Springer, 2016).
