Enrico Terrinoni is Full professor of English Literature at the Department of Italian Language, Culture and Arts in the World of the University for Foreigners of Perugia. In 2004 he obtained a PhD from University College Dublin with a thesis on Joyce and Neoplatonism with Declan Kiberd. He has lectured in more than twenty-five countries, and has been a Visiting Fellow at the University of Notre Dame, University of Indiana, Marsh's Library, Ireland. He researches English-speaking literatures, with a focus on Ireland and Scotland, and translation theory and practice. Her publications include Occult Joyce. The Hidden in Ulysses (Cambridge SP, 2008), James Joyce e la fine del romanzo (Carocci 2015), Oltre abita il silenzio, tradurre la letteratura (Il Saggiatore 2019), Su tutti i vivi e i morti. Joyce a Roma (Feltrinelli 2022). He translated and edited Joyce's Ulysses for Bompiani in 2021 (bilingual edition, with philological variants, annotations, maps, introductions to the episodes, Homeric correspondences, biography). Between 2017 and 2019 he completed with Fabio Pedone for Mondadori the annotated Italian translation of Joyce's Finnegans Wake. For his translations he has won the Premio Napoli (2012), the Premio Annibal Caro (2017) and the Premio Von Rezzori / Città di Firenze (2019). He has also edited works by Orwell, Wilde, Hawthorne, Gray and many others. He is coordinator of the Global Ulysses project for the University of Notre Dame and Rectoral Delegate for International Relations at the University for Foreigners of Perugia.
