Research: A decision support model for urban decay risk assessment in urban regeneration interventions


Emma Sabatelli attended the Liceo Scientifico Sante Simone in Conversano, earning her high school diploma in 2014. After graduation, she enrolled in the Master of Architecture degree program at the Polytechnic University of Bari, graduating in 2020 with a thesis as part of which she developed a morphotypological study on the historical fabric of Alberobello, entitled "Alberobello and the Murgia dei Trulli" under the guidance of Prof. Matteo Ieva. She carried out a training internship at the Municipality of Alberobello, aimed at writing his dissertation. In July 2020 she participates in the XXX Seminar of Architecture and Urban Culture of the University of Camerino, in which she wins a special mention with her thesis "Alberobello and the Murgia dei Trulli." In November 2020, she obtained the qualification for the profession of architect section A at the Politecnico, following which he carried out his professional activity in a technical office. In April 2021 he participated in the VIII AACCP (Architecture, Archaeology and Contemporary City Planning) symposium CITIES IN EVOLUTION, 2021 at Özyegin University in Istanbul, winning the first prize as Best AACCP Paper 2021 with the paper "Requalification of the historical fabric of Alberobello." She is currently pursuing a PhD in Architecture and Construction at Sapienza University of Rome.
