Research: Calixarenes as structural platform with chemically controlled geometry

Emanuele Spatola was born in Vittoria, Italy, on January 28th, 1997. In June 2015 He graduated from I.I.S. Galileo Ferraris (High school diploma) with industrial chemistry curriculum, with a final score of 98/100. In July 2018 he earned the bachelor degree in Chemistry from Università di Roma “Sapienza” with a final score of 110/110 cum laude (full marks with honours), discussing a thesis concerning “Light powered molecular machines”, under the supervision of Prof. Paolo Mencarelli. In July 2020 he earned a master’s degree in chemistry (curriculum Organic and Biomolecular Chemistry) from università di Roma “Sapienza” with a final score of 110/110 cum laude (full marks with honours). He spent his Internship period during master’s degree under the supervision of Prof. Stefano Di Stefano, and it concerned time control of conformation of the calix[4]arene scaffold by means of chemical fuels. In November 2020 he has started his first year of PhD study in Chemical Science.
