SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY
Research has focused mainly on the following field of applied chemical and electrochemical technologies. The main topics have been:
-Development of innovative electrode materials
-Preparation of Nanostructured materials for advanced remediation processes
- Electrogeneration of highly oxidizing species with application to disinfection and toxic and recalcitrant compounds removal
- Combined treatments for the oxidation of synthetic and industrial effluent

The scientific activity is documented by 80 papers, among which 65 were published in a peer-reviewed scientific journal, 1 patent (no. RM2013A000477), and 4 book chapters.

Since 1995 she has been involved as a team member in research projects funded by Sapienza University of Rome, by the Faculty of Engineering, by AST (Science and Technology Academy), and by ISPESL. Moreover, she has been involved in four national interuniversity Biennal Project funded by MURST and MIUR, all dealing with electrochemical technologies for the treatment of pathogens and recalcitrant and toxic compounds (1999- 2000, 2002-2004, 2006-2007, 2008-2009) and three European projects (JEP 32101 e Econano 543924, ERANETMED project CrITERIA).

Since 2001 - Environmental consultant for CITCA Interuniversity Centre for Environmental Technology and Chemistry for studies on environamental impact (ENEA, Comune di Anagni) and sampling and characterisation of contaminated water, soil and sediments (Autorità Portuale della Spezia, Cantieri Ferretti, Fincantieri, Sviluppo Italia, Autorità Portuale di Piombino, Beconcini, Malagrotta).
