Research: Use of advanced optical, spectral and remote sensing systems for the development of innovative methodologies aimed at reducing the risk of exposure to potentially hazardous substances

Eleonora Zucca obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry (L-27) from Sapienza University of Rome, with a review thesis in the field of spectroscopy entitled “The role of rotational spectroscopy in the identification of molecular species in the interstellar medium”.
She subsequently obtained a Master’s Degree in Physical Chemistry (LM-54) at the same university, with a theoretical–computational thesis entitled “Electrocatalytic reduction of CO₂: a theoretical study on the solvation of carbon dioxide, bicarbonate, and carbonate”.
She was awarded a research grant at the National Research Council of Italy – Institute of Atmospheric Sciences and Climate (CNR-ISAC), gaining experience in the analysis of atmospheric data.
Since November 2025, she has been a PhD student in Electrical Engineering, Materials and Nanotechnology at Sapienza University of Rome.
