Research: An archaeobotanical study in the Holy Sepulcher Basilica (Jerusalem, Israel).

Graduate in Sciences applied to Cultural Heritage (LM-11) in Sapienza University of Rome. My PhD project aims to the diachronic recontruction of human-plant interaction in the Levantine area. More specifically, the study of vegetal macroremains (seeds, fruits and wood) and fossil pollen coming from the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre can be useful for the recontruction of food usage and processing through time, the recontruction of past trade routes and past landscape. Moreover, the exceptional context can give insights into the usage of significant plants in certain rituals and ceremonies.
