Research:

I am an archaeologist specialized in the study of ceramic production in prehistoric and protohistoric contexts, with research and fieldwork experience in various areas of the Near East, the Caucasus, and the Mediterranean. I am a PhD candidate in Prehistoric Archaeology at Sapienza University of Rome, where I conduct a project dedicated to the technological analysis of Kura-Araxes culture ceramics in the southern Caucasus. My work integrates macro- and mesoscopic analyses, archaeometric approaches, and technological observations on materials from Armenia, Georgia, and Iran, with the aim of reconstructing craft traditions and cultural dynamics between the 4th and 3rd millennia BCE.

I completed my academic training at Sapienza, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Archaeological Sciences and a Master’s degree in Archaeology, both focused on Late Bronze Age ceramics in central-northern Italy.
My field experience has developed primarily within major Italian protohistoric projects. I worked for several years at the site of Monte Croce Guardia (AN), which played a fundamental role in my career, as well as at the site of Frattesina in Fratta Polesine. In both projects, I was involved in the documentation and analysis of ceramic assemblages.

Since 2022, I have been collaborating regularly with ISMEO in archaeological missions in the southern Caucasus. In Armenia, I am part of the Archaeological Mission of Aruch and the Incastellamento of the Silk Road as a ceramic specialist, contributing to the study of production systems and material culture. Since 2024, I have also taken part in the South Caucasus Archaeological Mission in Georgia, focused on the protohistoric contexts of the Samtskhe-Javakheti region. In 2025, I also joined the Archéo-Nil mission at Tell el-Iswid in Egypt, again as a ceramic specialist.
