Research:
In 2016, Elena Cerqua obtained a BA in Philosophy from “La Sapienza” University of Rome, with a dissertation titled “L'incessante liturgia. Prassi monastica e sacerdotale in Giorgio Agamben”.
In 2020, she obtained a MA in Philosophy from “La Sapienza” University of Rome, with a dissertation titled “L'abisso della sensatezza”, dedicated to Miguel de Unamuno's theological and philosophical thought.
In 2021, she has been awarded a “Perfezionamento all'estero” scholarship from “La Sapienza” University of Rome, to conduct a research at the archive “Casa-Museo de Unamuno”, at the University of Salamanca.
She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in History of Europe, with a project titled: “Este Cristo de mi tierra. Questione europea e secolarizzazione in Miguel de Unamuno”.
During her PhD, she carried out a research stay at the Centre de Recherches Interdisciplinaires sur les Mondes Ibéro-américains Contemporains (CRIMIC) at the Université Sorbonne-Paris IV, and spent 6 moths at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid as a visiting scholar.
