Research: Architecture as a tool for elevating the character of a natural place
Elda Arcieri was born in Castrovillari in 1997. She attended the "G. Garibaldi" Classical High School in Castrovillari and pursued a degree in Architecture Design at the Politecnico di Milano. During her university studies, she won first place in the international competition The Tree House organized by D&A Publishers, with the project Framing the Nature, focused on the theme of residence in nature. In 2021, she obtained a master's degree in Architecture of Buildings from the same university, with a thesis titled On the Line: Project for the New Music Academy of Krakow under the supervision of Professor Tomaso Monestiroli. Afterward, she took part in tutoring activities for Professor Tomaso Monestiroli at the Politecnico di Milano. For the same university, she collaborated with a team consisting of Professor A. Zanelli, Professor C. Monticelli, and Professor S. Viscuso on technical and scientific consultancy for the design of a recreational area commissioned by the municipality of Cinisello Balsamo. At the same time, she obtained certification to practice as an architect and began working in Milan at the Arassociati architecture firm, focusing on the renovation of heritage-protected building. She is currently enrolled in a PhD program in Architecture and Construction at the University of La Sapienza in Rome.
