Can urban regeneration based on cultural heritage represent a key strategy for contemporary urban planning? Can cultural projects—whether material or immaterial, permanent or ephemeral—truly transform the urban fabric, fostering care for space and strengthening the relationship between the city and its inhabitants? This research develops an ecosystem-inspired method to retrospectively measure the impact of theater and theatrical events on the territory. Through local experimentation, it paves the way for future methodological advancements capable of assessing these effects in the long term. The interdisciplinary and integrated approach engages public and private actors, as well as active citizens, providing practical tools for more inclusive, sustainable, and culturally vibrant cities. The dissemination of this model aims to counteract the indiscriminate consumption of land and resources, promoting a vision of an accessible city where culture emerges as the fourth pillar of sustainable development, reactivating processes of balanced growth and contributing to the improvement of urban quality of life.
