Davor Antonucci received his PhD in "History and Civilization of East Asia" at Sapienza University of Rome in 2006 with a thesis entitled: De Bello Camhi Imperatoris Tartaro:Sinici contra Tartaro Erutanos. Feliciter confercto anno 1697. Antoine Thomas S.I.(1644-1709) and Mongolia. In the period from 2008 to 2014 he taught Chinese language in various high schools in Rome and the Province, and in the years 2006-2009 he was supervisor of the teaching project of oriental languages in high schools in Rome and the Province: "Speaking with the East: Chinese language culture in public schools”, of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Sapienza University of Rome. From 2008 to 2010 he was Post - Doctoral Fellow for the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation of Taiwan with a research entitled: Jesuit's Contribution to the Knowledge of Tartary. In the years 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 he was adjunct professor of "History of East and South-East Asia" for the University of Perugia and the University of Roma Tre. In the a.y. 2011-2014 he was a TD-A Researcher at the "Italian Institute of Oriental Studies" department of Sapienza University of Rome where he taught courses in Chinese Philology in the master's course. Since February 2016 he has taken up service as a TD-B Researcher at the "Italian Institute of Oriental Studies" department of the same University where he teaches the Asian History course. He is currently involved in the publication of Martino Martini's Opera Omnia, and in the edition of the catalog of the Chinese fund (Fondo Fattinelli) of the Casanatense Library in Rome. He has presented speeches at numerous conferences in Italy and abroad.
